The paintings, made on Fabriano paper, explore aspects of perception, investigating spatial ambiguity through form, colour, space and movement. The painting language relates to modernism and in particular to hard-edge and geometric painting. The work is realised through a formal system of line, field and colour. Conversely, line can present as space, figure as ground and flat fields may animate.
The exhibition is supported by Kildare County Council Arts Service Arts Act Award 2025.
